Non-profitWellStone offers psychiatric Rehabilitative Day Treatment, "Rehab Day", services to adults in Madison and Cullman Counties. Rehab Day is a structured daytime rehabilitative intervention which is based on providing long-term mental health recovery services with the goal of improving daily functioning, facilitating recovery, achieving personal life goals, regaining self-worth, optimizing illness management, and helping recipients to become productive participants in family and community life. Those served in this program are adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness (SMI). Rehab Day primarily provides group sessions that focus on basic living skills training that builds upon an individual's existing strengths and assets to promote a positive quality of life. Recipients enrolled in Rehab Day are working towards recovery, are psychiatrically stable, and are living in the community.

WellStone is able to offer case management/care coordination services to adults, and children/adolescents and their families who have a diagnosis of a severe mental illness (SMI) or serious emotional disturbance (SED). Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) criteria for diagnosis and level of risk must be met to be considered for case management/care coordination services.

Non-profitFirst Episode Psychosis (FEP) provides service to recipients in Madison County between the ages of 15-25 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The initial experience of psychosis must have happened within the past 12 months of referral. Services available include: Parent and Peer Support, psychiatric medical, individual/family therapy, family support, supportive employment and education, and case management. Symptoms of psychosis that FEP screens for are: delusions, hallucinations, disorganization of thought and speech, and the inability to determine what is reality. Symptoms cannot be solely due to medical conditions, trauma, substance use, autism spectrum disorders, and/or intellectual/developmental disability.

Non-profitMadison Behavior Therapy (MBT) at WellStone provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, and related mental health disorders. MBT provides individualized treatment plans, aimed at optimizing each child's ability to succeed in environments with their neurotypical peers. Team members provide one-on-one therapy to teach targeted skills and coping techniques designed to improve quality of life for recipients and their families. Although the most common diagnosis to receive ABA therapy is Autism Spectrum Disorder, MBT at WellStone is also qualified to provide services to children and young adults diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder, Selective Mutism, and to neurotypical children engaging in severe problem behaviors.

Nova Academy is available to children ages 3-5 who have significant behavioral challenges that interfere with their ability to be successful at traditional preschool or daycare settings. Nova Academy is a half-day therapeutic preschool program with teachers, assistants, and mental health professionals who work with children and their families to prepare the child for kindergarten. Summer programs are available for children and adolescents up to age 12.
